The Baker Wetlands Research and Natural Area, a 573-acre are with 45 acres of virgin wetland, is a great bird watching local, close to the action yet seemingly in another world. The wetlands offer foot trails and an interpretive kiosk and boardwalk, located near the north levee in the northwest corner.
