Final Fridays gallery walks begin August 27

       Inaugural Final Fridays Gallery Walk venues announced   LAWRENCE, Kan.—Lawrence’s first Final Fridays, a monthly arts extravaganza, will take place downtown on Friday, Aug. 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Over 30 locations are lined up for the inaugural event with expansion plans already in the works. Final Fridays is being presented throughout Downtown Lawrence by the Downtown Lawrence Arts District.

The 2nd Annual Tour of Lawrence Rolls Into Town

Lawrence, Kan. – The 2nd Annual Tour of Lawrence cycling event rolls into Lawrence July 2-4, 2010. The Tour of Lawrence, presented by US Bank, is a USA Cycling sanctioned Pro-AM event that features three races during the weekend, and brings world-class cycling to town in a spectator-friendly format, along with a whole lot of family fun. “The Tour offers regional professional teams and area amateur riders an opportunity to spend the holiday weekend in Lawrence and compete for more than $20,000 in cash prizes,” said Eric Struckhoff, Race Director. The event is produced by the Lawrence Convention & Visitors Bureau and is expected to draw 400 riders per event to the community for the weekend.
Tour of Lawrence rolls back to Lawrence for second year

Lawrence, Kan. – The Lawrence Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced that the second annual Tour of Lawrence cycling event will return to Lawrence July 2 - 4, 2010. This USA Cycling sanctioned Pro-AM event features three races during the weekend, and brings world-class cycling to town in a spectator-friendly format.
