Abe & Jake's Landing

This former barbwire factory, built around 1892, has been completely renovated and re-opened in 2000 as Abe & Jake's Landing. Located in beautiful downtown Lawrence overlooking the Kansas River, the Landing includes an art gallery, coffee shop, candy shop and old-fashioned soda fountain. Adams Alumni Center

The Adams Alumni Center, located on the beautiful KU campus, is an ideal spot for meetings, lectures, dinners, weddings and receptions. Depending on the configuration and event, the Center can hold up to 250 people. All rooms include wireless Internet access, and audiovisual support equipment is available.
Please note, only Jayhawk Society ($100-150) and life members ($1,000-1,500) of the Alumni Association may rent the facility for non-University related functions. Membership to the Association is open to all, and a KU degree is not required to join. Please inquire with Bryan Greve about joining or updating your membership.

Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel

The Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel, located at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, was built in 1864 in Sproxton, England. In 1995, the church (made up of over 25,000 stones) was carefully dismantled and moved. Two hundred crates traveled more than 5,000 miles from England to Kansas. The reconstructed chapel was dedicated in 1996, with Lady Margaret Thatcher in attendance – her father preached at the chapel in the 1930s as a lay minister.
Dole Institute of Politics

The Dole Institute, established at KU in 1997 to honor the former Senate majority leader and 1996 Republican presidential nominee, is designed to enourage student participation and citizen involvement in public service. The Institute houses Dole's papers, the world's largest collection associated with a congressional leader. The Dole Institute's interactive exhibits trace the career of Senator Dole and Kansas' colorful past.

Metropolitan Suite
Room #1 is the largest room at The Extended. This has a full kitchen with an extra large bathroom with a soaking tub, as well as two headed two person walk in shower. There is a Flat-panel TV in the vanity for your enjoyment. All the rooms are luxuriously appointed with walk-in closets, flat panel TV’s, and large bathrooms. South Park Gazebo

Located in the heart of beautiful Downtown Lawrence, the rich tradition of South Park is held as Lawrence's premiere meeting place. Separated by Massachusetts Street, the park is divided into two areas with distinct atmospheres.
The east side of South Park is used by many for weddings and special events and features the William Kelly Bandstand, which plays host to concerts in the park including the Lawrence City Band's Summer Concert Series. Trees line the walkways throughout the park and benches offer relaxation and tranquil areas for those visiting. Flower gardens also add to the peaceful atmosphere. The aforementioned Roosevelt Fountain also resides on the east side of the park in the flower gardens near the Bandstand.
Shelters and Gazebos may be reserved from April 15th through October 30th, weather permitting.
Any reservations for Thursday through Sunday must be made no later than noon the previous Wednesday.
There are full-day and half-day rental fees for shelters and two-hour, half-day and full-day rental fees for gazebos. Half-day rentals are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and are $30 (except for the Centennial Park shelter, which is $40). Full-Day rentals are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and are $55 (except for the Centennial Park shelter, which is $75).

The University of Kansas offers multiple facilities to accommodate meetings, conferences or special functions. Events range from international conferences and wedding receptions to weekly meetings and banquets.
Meeting rooms can accommodate groups of all sizes, with a variety of seating arrangements and full catering. Full audio-visual services, public address systems, Internet connections, refreshment services and special room set-ups are available.
Requests are handled through the administrative office located on Level 4 of the Kansas Union. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon.-Fri. Reservations should be made at least 48 hours in advance.
