The Lawrence Convention & Visitors Bureau offers many services and can serve as a resource to help make your next conference, meeting or big event a success.

Complimentary Services

The following services are available upon request. These services are complimentary for groups using a combined total of 50 or more sleeping rooms during their stay in Lawrence. Our information booth provides visitor information materials including our award-winning Visitor Guide, maps, brochures on area attractions, event calendars and more.

Welcome Sign

We'll provide your group with a welcome banner and personalized welcome signs to be used at your meeting site.

Registration Assistance

Our volunteers are excellent ambassadors to Lawrence adding Midwestern hospitality and local expertise while assisting you with your registration. We would be happy to supply one of our smiling volunteers for two hours each day during your stay for up to three days. Additional time is available at a rate of $7 per hour.

"Lure" Brochures

The Convention & Visitors Bureau can help build attendance at your event by providing you with our promotional brochure designed to excite and 'lure' your members to Lawrence.

Word Processor

We'll provide your group with a word processor to help with any last-minute nametag changes or any other needs (available with CVB volunteer assistance).

Public Relations

To help promote your event locally, we can send a media release to all local media the week of your meeting.

Welcome Bags

Attractive Lawrence welcome bags are available for conference materials or for shopping needs.

Welcome Speakers

We can assist you in making arrangements for a local dignitary to welcome your group to Lawrence.

Notepad and Pens

We can supply each member of your group with a Lawrence notepad and pen to enhance your welcome packets.

Other Services

These services and supplies are available from the Lawrence CVB at a minimal cost.

Pre-Printed Nametags

We can laser-print nametags that include the name and affiliation of each attendee. Each nametag is printed on cardstock and held in a vinyl holder (3"x4"). Cost: 50 cents each.

We require that all names be submitted at least two weeks prior to your conference/convention.

Blank Nametags

Blank Convention & Visitors Bureau nametags with the vinyl holders can be purchased for your specific use. Cost: 20 cents each.

Ribbons

Dignitary ribbons to attach to nametags are available for your convention. Ribbons might include board member, committee member, president, vice president, secretary, speaker, exhibitor, host and sponsor. Price and quantity available varies. Please check with the director of conventions to help accommodate your needs.
