Art Tougeau Parade

May

Annual Art Car Parade. Cars and other wheeled vehicles of various shapes, ages, and engine sizes are given new identities by their owners ranging from clever to comical to just plain nuts.

Art Walk

October

Annual two-day self-guided tour of Lawrence artists' studios and art galleries.

Harvest of Arts

October

Regional art festival that includes local music, poetry readings and children's activities. Taking place over two weekends in October, artists will exhibit their art in area parks and storefront windows in Downtown Lawrence.

Indian Art Market

Annual event the second weekend in September

Two-day outdoor market featuring Native American artists specializing in jewelry, oils, wood cravings, beadwork, watercolors, textiles and much more. You'll also learn about Indian culture with dance, artist demonstrations and native food.

Pickin' & Fiddlin' Championships

August

State championships feature open competition in fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, miscellaneous acoustic instruments and ensemble folk singing. This is a two-day event, usually scheduled the last weekend of August.

Potters Guild

October

Annual event of local artists selling various styles of pottery, which range from functional stoneware and earthenware to more sculptural and abstract works.
