Civility in a Fractured Society

Chairman Jim Leach of the National Endowment for the Humanities will speak on the importance of politeness in the public arena. The purpose, he said, is “not to express judgment on any issues of the day, but simply to try to make clear that coarseness in public manners can jeopardize social cohesion.”
