Conducted by Music Director Michael Stern and joined by special guest, talented American piano soloist Jonathan Biss, the Symphony will present a diverse and well-balanced program featuring Wagner’s dramatic Overture to Rienzi, Brahms’ powerful Piano Concerto No. 1 and the Kansas premiere of American Symphony—a new, commissioned work for the KCS by accomplished young composer Adam Schoenberg.
