Eudora
In 1857, as the Civil War loomed on the horizon, a group of German emigrants from Chicago purchased a 774-acre town site from Shawnee Indian Chief Paschal Fish, Jr., whose young daughter, Eudora, gave this town its name.
Kansas City
Head east along I-70 for 45 minutes and you will be in the heart of downtown Kansas City, the bar-b-que and jazz capitol of the world.
Leavenworth
Leavenworth, Kan., is known as the "First City in Kansas," established in 1854 and located on the west banks of the Missouri River.
Lecompton
Accessible via U.S. Highway 40 or Interstate 70. The city was originally called "Bald Eagle," but was later changed to Lecompton in honor of S.D. Lecompte, a federal judge in the territory.
Topeka
Just 20 minutes west on I-70 lies our state capital, Topeka.
